shoppers say no to plastic bag levy to tackle climate change

The British public has expressed great neglect of the government\'s efforts to push for plastic bag tax in supermarkets to deal with climate change.
The Times exclusive survey conducted by Populus shows that today shoppers would rather see disposable plastic bags completely abandoned than pay anything, no matter how small the cost is.
The vast majority-72 per cent -
I believe that incentives such as bonus points provided at checkout are the best way to change behavior.
Last month Tesco was ridiculed for refusing to follow Marks & Spencer and introducing a 5 p fee on till, thus supporting this approach.
M & S will start charging customers in its food hall next month.
